Roles & Responsibilities
Be fully responsible for the quality of code for which the team is responsible (either through personalreview or thoughtful delegation)
Take full responsibility for delivering solutions into production (working through operations teams)
Be responsible for training and mentoring developers on the team and recommending actionsaround capacity planning & career planning.
Work with the technical project management to create and maintain a prioritized backlog andschedule for the team
Be responsible for architectural decisions in consultation with other members of the engineeringleadership
Provide technical leadership to multiple teams of both in office/remote software engineers.
Be able to diagnose and troubleshoot production problems.
Identify technical risks to the sprint commitments early on and to ensure we meet businessobjectives..
Review Pull Requests and do code reviews.
Ensure clarity on NFR and address these requirements during the Architecture definition phase &make sure these are realized during the engineering and deployment phase
Skills & Requirements
8+ years of experience in core software development
Should have experience working in product based companies building data products.
Leading teams successfully in a dynamic, fast time to market and customer focused environment
Working with small, agile development teams.
3+ years of experience in architecting solutions with focus on server-side web applications, REST APIs,and / or microservices
Should have strong experience in working with Python and related technologies.
Should have good experience on below technologies○ Databases: MySQL, NoSQL (DynamoDB), Postgres, HBase○ DevOps: Docker, Kubernetes, Airflow
Proficient in creating technical documents like Architecture views, Technology Architecture blueprintand design specification
Experience with Continuous Integration and Delivery using Azure DevOps or similar
Should have experience in creating and managing Cloud infrastructure for deploying and scaling theapplication.
Good experience in Data pipelines or distributed message queues
DB Index Management, Partitioning and System Catalogs
Performance tuning, Query tuning by generating and explaining plan for SQL queries.
Knowledge and hands-on work experience in Docker is a must.
